On Sunday, October 15, 2017, North Haven Church celebrated their 50th anniversary. Former pastors and members filled the church to capacity for a special time of worship and reflection of God’s faithfulness for a half century.
The service included two specially prepared video segments. The first recalled 50 years of God’s great faithfulness.
The second video included stories about some of the beautiful things God has done in the past and continues to do at North Haven.
After greetings from former pastors and a message by Pastor Seymour, the congregation gathered at the front of the new Education Building. Rev. Randy Carter, General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist denomination dedicated the building to the Lord and Ms. Martha Downing, a long-time children’s ministry teacher cut a ribbon, officially opening the new facility for teaching new generations of disciples of Christ.
A catered meal was served in the gymnasium and the remainder of the day was spent with friends remembering the works of the Lord over the decades.
The organizing committee for the day’s celebrations have prepared a book that chronicles the history of North Haven Church from its early days through the present. Copies of the book are available from the church office for $10.00.
