As caring Christians, we do not forget the needs of our community and world, and seek to show God’s love by addressing the physical and spiritual needs of both.
Monthly Community Outreach
On the third Saturday of each month we reach out to our surrounding local community to show Christ’s love and compassion in practical ways, working in partnership with other local ministries. It’s faith with hands and feet, touching the lives of our neighbors with free groceries, medical screenings, clothing, and prayer.
Child Development Center
North Haven Child Development Center has been a strong childcare/pre-school ministry to children and families since 1991. Several original staff continue their ministries to children and families today. We are proud of our Christian-based curriculum (Abeka Book as well as WEE Learn). Both not only teach wonderful Christian principles, but excel in academics as well.
Our childcare philosophy is that “Children Are the Greatest in the Kingdom.” We never forget that Jesus used a little child as an example of who we should be like in order to see heaven! Visit the Child Development Center web site for more details.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School – it’s learning disguised as fun – games, crafts, skits, music and dance. And at the same time, important spiritual lessons make God’s love real for children of all ages.
Jesus’ last words included the command to “Go!” We sponsor and support missionaries and missions projects in various locations around the world, including Latin America, the Philippines, India and Africa. It’s our contention that missions is the heartbeat of God. David Livingstone declared, “God only had one son, and he was a missionary.” Whenever we can, teams of NHC volunteers embark on short-term missions projects to places like Mexico, Central America, Africa, and India.
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)
MOPS is the place where young mothers find friendship, community, resources, and support. Learn more about how you can be a part.
