Dr. James Seymour, Senior Pastor

Dr. James Seymour has had a very exciting ministry journey. For 16 years he and his wife Dawn served as missionaries, first in Alaska and then in Africa. He was the Chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Saint Augustine’s College for 12 years, and has been the Executive Director of two international non-profit organizations before coming to NHC. Josh Wade, Music and Seniors Ministry & Special Events

Josh has been directing the Music Program at North Haven since August of 2007. Playing the piano from age nine and spending most of his life within the church, he considers serving in the Kingdom a tremendous blessing and joy. Josh is married to a very talented and wonderful wife, Anne, who shares his passion for music. They are proud parents of two young men, Joshua and Jackson. With exceptional organizational skills and boundless energy, Josh also serves North Haven church by giving oversight to Senior’s Ministries and special ministry events in collaboration with department leaders.

Ben Henshaw Childrens Minster

Ben Henshaw, Children’s Pastor

Ben joined the ministry team as Children’s Pastor in the summer of 2019. He majored in Pastoral Ministries at University of Valley Forge (formerly Valley Forge Christian College) and has 20+ years of ministry experience working with children and youth of all ages. Ben is passionate about seeing children come to know Christ and grow in that vital relationship. The Henshaw clan (Ben, his wife of 17 years, Jill, their daughter, Haven, and a cat and dog) moved to Raleigh from central Pennsylvania where he had been previously serving as a senior pastor.

Noah Paulsen Youth Pastor and Vanessa Paulsen

Noah Paulsen, Youth Pastor

Noah started in the role of Youth Pastor in the spring of 2019. He, and his wife Vanessa, have a long history at North Haven. Before assuming the new youth ministry duties, he had been maintaining the buildings and grounds at North Haven and in the past they had worked with the youth as volunteers. The Paulsens bring a joyful enthusiasm to the youth program and strive to lead our youth into a deeper walk with God. Their daughter, Emma, is a member of the youth group and the whole Paulsen family is known for their encouragements, selfless service and ever-present smiles.

Vickie Bredbenner and Hal Bredbenner

Hal Bredbenner, Executive Pastor

Hal manages many of the day-to-day business operations and administration at NHC. He has decades of experience in administration and governance of churches, missions organizations, and non-profits. Hal and his wife, Vickie, are active in numerous ministries at North Haven. They help with the food pantry, music ministries, children’s work, adult education and missions, and Vickie manages Women’s Ministries. They love North Haven and are interested in seeing God’s character revealed in every aspect, whether it’s financial management, the appearance of our facilities, or the way we worship God and care for each other.
