Dr. James Seymour, Senior Pastor
Dr. James Seymour has had a very exciting ministry journey. For 16 years he and his wife Dawn served as missionaries, first in Alaska and then in Africa. He was the Chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Saint Augustine’s College for 12 years, and has been the Executive Director of two international non-profit organizations before coming to NHC. Josh Wade, Music and Special Events Coordinator
Josh has been directing the Music Program at North Haven since August of 2007. Playing the piano from age nine and spending most of his life within the Church, he considers serving in the Kingdom a tremendous blessing and joy. Josh is married to a very talented and wonderful wife, Anne Marie, who shares his passion for music. Anne directs the choir at NHC. They are proud parents of two young boys. With exceptional organizational skills and boundless energy, Josh also serves North Haven church by giving oversight to special ministry events in collaboration with department leaders.
Noah Paulsen, Youth Pastor
Noah started in the role of Youth Pastor in the spring of 2019. He, and his wife Vanessa, have a long history at North Haven. Before assuming the new youth ministry duties, he had been maintaining the buildings and grounds at North Haven and in the past they had worked with the youth as volunteers. The Paulsens bring a joyful enthusiasm to the youth program and strive to lead our youth into a deeper walk with God. Their daughter, Emma, is a member of the youth group and the whole Paulsen family is known for their encouragements, selfless service and ever-present smiles.
Hal Bredbenner, Executive Pastor
Hal manages many of the day-to-day business operations and administration at NHC. He has decades of experience in administration and governance of churches, missions organizations, and non-profits. Hal and his wife, Vickie, are active in numerous ministries at North Haven. They help with the food pantry, music ministries, children’s work, adult education and missions. They love their fellowship and are interested in seeing God’s character revealed in every aspect, whether it’s financial management, the appearance of our facilities, or the way we worship God and care for each other.
Landria Benish, Office Administrator
Landria helps part-time to keep the North Haven office running. She is responsible for weekly mailings, bulletins, sermon PowerPoint presentations and facility scheduling. Wake County is home to Landria, a Raleigh-native and NCSU graduate. She married her husband Brian in 2003 and they have two young daughters. Some fun trivia: Landria was previously a competitive swimmer!
