What We Believe

Members at North Haven share common beliefs, derived from the Word of God.

We believe…

  • The Old and New Testament are inspired by God.
  • There is only one true God revealed in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Though originally good, man[kind] willingly fell [in]to sin.
  • Every person can have fellowship with God through salvation.
  • The two practices of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
  • The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience that empowers believers following salvation.
  • The initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues.
  • Sanctification initially occurs at salvation.
  • The church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin.
  • Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today.
  • The blessed hope when Jesus raptures His church.
  • The millennial reign of Christ when Jesus returns with his saints at his second coming.
  • A final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ.
  • There are new heavens and a new earth that Christ is preparing.
