What we Believe

Members at North Haven share common beliefs, derived from the Word of God.

We believe…

  • the scriptures are inspired by God.
  • there is only one true God revealed in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • though originally good, man[kind] willingly fell [in]to sin.
  • every person can have fellowship with God through salvation.
  • the two practices of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
  • the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience that empowers believers following salvation.
  • the initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues.
  • sanctification initially occurs at salvation.
  • the church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin.
  • divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today.
  • the blessed hope when Jesus raptures His church.
  • the millennial reign of Christ when Jesus returns with his saints at his second coming.
  • a final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ.
  • there are new heavens and a new earth that Christ is preparing.
