These ministers are joined by dozens of faithful volunteers who help in every ministry of the church. 

Our many lay workers, who sacrificially give of their time, talent, and treasure, make North Haven's ministries possible.

 What we are all about

North Haven is a community of faith in Jesus Christ that is focused on creating dedicated followers of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to connect people to Jesus and help them become dedicated followers of Christ.


We accomplish this mission by reaching those who are longing for deeper community, creating avenues that help them dive into their faith, and helping to make a difference in their lives. Each week we gather together for worship and then scatter throughout the greater Raleigh area to live out the abundant life Jesus has given us.


Our church specializes in community involvement, sustaining a mentality of service to others, offering a grace-driven atmosphere to all, and functioning within culture of excellence worthy of our calling. At North Haven, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is shown as we serve those outside our walls.


Come make peace with God, become a part of our fellowship, and join in the abundant life God freely offers to us all.

The Next Generation

North Haven is committed to the next generation. Kids today are exposed to things that steal their innocence. The church and parents must team together to spiritually prepare our children for their future.


Through North Haven's various children and youth programs, we instill knowledge of the Bible, that will be the source of wisdom and comfort for the next generation, just as it has for generations before. We impart a worldview based solely on the truths of God's Word.


This is not a new mission at North Haven. Our daycare facility, North Haven Child Development Center has been providing this ministry to families in Wake County for more than 30 years.  We also have a Young Adult Fellowship that has been meeting weekly for decades.


More than everything else, we pray for the children and teens God has given to our families.  We claim this promise of God...

A Rich History

Several families came together and formed North Haven Chapel in 1967, back when Six Forks Road was just a country lane. Over the years, Raleigh has expanded and we’re now North Haven Church, strategically positioned in Raleigh’s growing North Hills-Midtown corridor.


in 1991, we opened the North Haven Child Development Center, which has been a faithful childcare/pre­school ministry to children and families for more than 30 years. 


In 2017, North Haven celebrated its 50th anniversary with the opening of the newly constructed Education Building, continuing our commitment to disciple the next generation in the Gospel and God's Word.


Over the decades, North Haven has expanded in the scope of our ministries and have been the home church to hundreds of families, college students, international guests, and urban professionals. The number of lives touched by North Haven over the years far exceeds anything our founding families could have dreamed.

Facilities

God has blessed North Haven with a wide-range of facilities located on our six-acre north Raleigh campus.


  • Sunday Worship services and mid-week Bible studies are held in the Sanctuary building.
  • The adjacent Education Building houses all of our children’s ministry programs.
  • Youth activities are held in the Youth Building behind the Administrative Offices. 
  • Special events and dinners are often conducted in our full-sized Gymnasium.
  • North Haven's extensive Food Pantry is located in the Gymnasium Extension.
  • The North Haven Child Development Center has their CDC-1 and CDC-2 Buildings across the parking lot from the Sanctuary.

North Haven Church is affiliated with the Pentecostal Free-Will Baptist denomination headquartered in Dunn, North Carolina.
